Anna Marie Lawrence

Born in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Anna Marie earned a teaching degree from Northern Michigan University and traveled with three friends to the Metro Detroit area to begin her career in Pre-K and Elementary education in the 1960s, first as Miss Kosonen, with the Warren Consolidated School District. Teaching was her passion and she taught various grade levels and hundreds of students over her 35-year career that spanned five decades. Among her hobbies in life were gardening, travelling, spending time in nature, birdwatching and solving word and number puzzles every day. She also enjoyed getting together with her various social groups such as her dear Weber friends. Anna Marie was a longtime member of Christ Lutheran Church in Warren, where she met her best friend, Lynn. Her deeply felt compassion, love, kindness and generosity for others touched countless lives and will now live on in our memories of her.

Anna Marie was the beloved wife of 55 years to Edward, loving mother of Bill (Elaine), Dan (Monica) and Kathleen Lawrence. Adored grandmother of Charlotte, David, Vivian, Bliss, Summer and Skye. Dear sister of Susan, Lorraine, Bill, and Mary Lou. Supportive and loving auntie to 11 nieces and nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews. Doting cat mom to Misty.

A memorial service has been planned for Friday, September 1, at Noon, at Christ Lutheran Church in Warren (32300 Schoenherr Rd.). Private burial to take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren.
