Born in Detroit to the late Harold and Lora Poupard, Art was known as “uncle Art” even to the people he wasn’t necessarily related to because of the love he had for the family and friends in his life. Art was a Quality Specialist for 44 years at Chrysler and General Dynamics. When he wasn’t at work Art proudly held the title of dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa; he always wanted to be with the kids. You could always find Art whistling or fishing. Aside from his family, Art’s two favorite things in the world were fishing, usually at his spot at a friend’s cottage in Jackson, and some good laughs with friends and family gathered around.
Beloved husband of the late Marlene Poupard (nee Connelly) for 19 years and then the late Rose Poupard (nee Shaw) for 47 years. Dear father of Bryan (Noel) Poupard, Barry Poupard, Tammy (Doug) Grenzicki, and Larry (Rebecca) Poupard. Cherished grandpa of 10. Loving great-grandpa of 5. Preceding in death by his 4 siblings. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Also caring father of his 2 dogs Tiggen and Finnigan.
The family will be Instate Friday, December 31st from 10am until time of Funeral Service at 12pm at Hope Lutheran Church, 32400 Hoover Road in Warren. Burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Nazareth, MI, are appreciated.
