Barbara Lynne Orchard

Barbara Lynne Orchard, Age 70, passed away on June 30, 2025, in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Beloved wife of the late Patrick A. Orchard. Loving mother of Michael (Patrice) Orchard, Michelle Ozga, and Mark Orchard. Cherished grandma of Alexis Orchard and the late James R. Orchard. Proud great grandma of Peyton Jackson. Dear sister of Sharon Park, Susan (Thomas) Weglarz, and the late Betty J. Vlanich. Barbara was born on April 26, 1955, in North Charleroi, Pennsylvania to her late parents Charles W. Core and Mildred J. (nee. Pierce) Core Sanders. She attended California Area High School in Pennsylvania, Class of 1973. Before making their way to Michigan, Barbara and her family resided in Long Branch, Pennsylvania. She was proud to be a warehouse supervisor for Revere Plastics Systems, Shipping Coordinator Sur-Flo Plastics and Engineering, and the Supervisor at Sanders Bakery.

She enjoyed volunteering as President of Friends of Taylor Library, where she would bless everyone with homemade treats.

Barbara loved to bake holiday treats for family, friends and coworkers, especially her famous pumpkin bread.

She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with her children and her sister to Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Missouri, UP of Michigan. Barbara will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
