
Betty Jane Knoth, 75, of Harper Woods, died Friday, October 1, 2004 at her home. Betty is preceded in death by her husband George L. She is survived by her children; Robert (Annette), Douglas (Janet), Lori (Bill) Ensley and Eric (Wendy); grandchildren Amanda, Erin, Rebecca, Sarah, Nicole, Mitchell, Autumn and Jennifer; and sister Barbara (John) Wegner. Betty was born in Detroit to George and Mildred Waun. She met her husband George at the age of 15 when George moved in across the street. They were sweethearts for many years before they married in 1950. After Betty and George married they moved to Harper Woods and started their family. Betty loved to hang out with her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading and going out to eat. Years ago she belonged to a bowling league. She has been a long time member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Detroit. Donating to many charities was something she liked to do, in order to help others. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-9pm and Tuesday from 2-5 and 6-9pm at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home. There will be a Scripture service Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 6, 2004. She will be instate at 9:30 am until the time of mass at 10:00 am, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 15889 E. 7 Mile, Detroit. Fr. Brian Cokonougher will be officiating. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 24359 Northwestern Hwy., Suite 225, Southfield, MI 48075
