

A proud veteran of the United States Navy, Calvin served during World War II in the Pacific Theater, where he was stationed in Okinawa. His service to his country was a testament to his courage, loyalty, and selflessness. A man of deep faith, Calvin dedicated much of his life to missionary work in Texas and Mexico, touching countless lives with his kindness and devotion to helping others. For 35 years, he owned and operated his own appliance repair business, where his work ethic and integrity earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him. He and his wife, Marion, also had a side business as photographers, capturing beautiful moments through their artistic photography.
Calvin was an avid adventurer and sports enthusiast, biking across Michigan 12 times, rollerblading, and ice skating well into his later years. He also enjoyed traveling in his RV, and was a lover of classical piano music and big band jazz. Calvin’s family and friends will remember him for his zest for life, his unwavering faith, and his warm, generous spirit. He was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather, brother, and friend, and his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Calvin was the beloved husband of the late Marion. Loving father of Danny (Alice), Richard (Vickie), and Donald (Janis). Cherished grandfather of David (Carmen), Jennifer (Rick) Johnson, Krystal (Ryan) Lark, and Shawn (Jake) McGinley. Adored great-grandfather of Dakota, Annabell, Valarie (Richard) Munoz, Kyley, Taylor, Allyson, Charlotte, Natalie; and great-great grandfather of Alexander, Sophia, and Jonathan. Dear brother of the late Audre Fletcher, the late Harold, and the late Dorothy.
Visitation for Calvin will be held on Monday, January 27th from 3-8pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren. His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 28th with a Gathering Time at 10am until the time of his Service at 11am at Bethany Baptist Church, 19700 15 Mile Rd, in Clinton Township. Interment on Wednesday, January 29th at 10:30am at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd, Holly, MI.
