When Charlie was 5 years old, he impressed the meter reader with some "very intelligent" questions. By the time he was in 5th grade, the principal had him repairing the school's audio/visual equipment. Around the same time, he started to salvage discarded TVs, and he would fix them and sell them at flea markets. He quickly gathered a clientele and was in demand for his repair services even before he could drive. The home phone rang constantly with people asking for the 'TV Man'. Charlie went on to receive two degrees, one in Electronic Service Technology and the other in Climate Control Technology. He was self-employed and did repair work for many local appliance stores, including 30 years with J&T Appliance.
Charlie has a kind and gentle soul. He enjoyed taking care of his flowers, which he planted every year. He was a loving dad to his cats and received great joy from them. Charlie will be greatly missed, though he will live on through the never ending "Charlie stories" that will forever be shared by his family and friends.
Charlie was the loving brother of Carolyn (Alan) Kirk Rudzewicz, Maryanne Kirk, and Thomas Kirk. He is also survived by his loving cousins and friends.
Visitation for Charlie will be held on Thursday, July 31st from 3-8pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI. His Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial to take place on Monday, August 4th at 1pm at St. Cecilia Cemetery, 518 Orchard Ave, Clare, MI.
