I remember the entire Sear's family coming and visiting us in Kalamazoo during the Summer. Chuck would get a bunch of the kids together and the whole group would put on a jam session with him and his horn. That was a lot of fun. Chuck, you will be missed, but I bet the music is better in Heaven!

My condolences to Carole and her daughters Cheryl, Kim, Eileen and Vivian and their families. The Cirillo clan had many good times with Chuck and his guitar, singing songs & telling jokes. Thanks for all the great memories Chuck. You will be missed.

The funeral today was an incredibly beautiful celebration of the love and life of Uncle Chuck. I know he was smiling broadly and very proud of his family and the joy, he brought to so many lives. I loved the music, singing, and wonderful memories shared, that sparked so many of my own. He was a beautiful man that will always live in our hearts.

Chuck, So many memoriesâ¦ especially the one on that sunny morning on Oxford Lake in that little junk boat. On my first cast, I heard a loud screech behind me, I turned around and there you were with the lure hooked into your cheek! You were screaming to get that XO!#% hook out of your cheek and Kim and I were laughing hysterically and still laughing about it to this day!! Thanks for all the different places we worked together. It was an honor to have had you as my mentor in the automotive design world at Ford Motor Company, Pioneer, Tower Automotive, EGS, Carrron and Company, etc.. Not only were you the best father in law, but you were like a father to me. You will be forever missed in my heart,,, your loving son-in-law, âKennedychâ

For Uncle Chuck who always made all of us laugh. He called me Shannifer. He gave everyone nicknames that made everyone smile. Growing up wouldn't have been the same without him. We will miss you terribly. We love you.

He shared some life to me. I had too little time with him. It seems like we all should have had much more time with him. An increadible person.

Chuck was the funniest man I have ever met...bar none. He was so very charming and he had a way of making everyone feel good! He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I was three years old when he married my sister Carole so there was never a time that he wasn't in my life. He was a brother and father and friend all rolled into one. Things will never be the same in our family without him.

Ah, man...my memories of Chuck...at the lodge, a smile, a song. I told someone today he was the Frank Sinatra of the family. He was one of those guys that was always there, as long as I could remember. The memory is as clear in my mind as the day it happened, when Chuck saved my life at the lodge...I bet I was all of 8! Oh, Dad, don't really know where to start or what to say. You were the best Dad ever, and so much of who I am today, is because of you. Thank you for the gift of entertainment that you shared and developed in all 4 of your girls. You were always so supportive of our efforts and encouraged us to go above and beyond. I don't know any other kids that grew up with jam-sessions on the weekends, performing in nursing homes, front porch shindigs, learning to sing in 4-part harmony, play weddings in parks and play musical instruments. Most kids first song is "Mary Had a Little Lamb", but mine was Willie's "cigarretes and whiskey and wild, wild, women...............!!" You always made everything so much fun I never wanted the days to end. What I would give to be able to go back to one of those jam sessions in the basement!! You raised us to love the outdoors and because of that, all of your girls can fish, run an outboard motor, snorkle, among other things. Your love for reading has inspired me throughout my lifetime. There are countless things about you that I love, Dad, and will miss. Your girls will carry on your legacy and hopefully we will make you proud. I'm so glad that you are with your brothers again, I know how much you loved them and missed them. I know that I will see you again one day, when my time comes to make the same journey that you made yesterday. Oh well, I'll keep talking to you every day, Dad, but will go for now. All my love, Che

I remember as a little girl, and even into my early teens, dad making me sit on the couch next to him so he could count my freckles. He would really count them too...and when I tried to get up he'd say, "don't move, Bean, I'm still counting!.....243, 244, 245.... That was our special thing. In the summer when Bernie was a baby, it'd be hot so Bernie would only have a diaper on, and my dad would say, "remind me to pick up a chicken at A&P" (because he was so skinny)..... His ankles crossed, sitting in his chair, dads toes were always moving back and forth....ALWAYS, and when I'd say "dad, why are you ALWAYS moving your toes?" His reply, "they're singing".....I think about his toes every time I move mine!..... He let me sing Edelweiss (Sound of Music) by myself, with him at the guitar, and that made me feel so special as a little girl. He did that with all his girls...we each had something that was just between him and one of us. The stories and memories live on dad...thanks for teaching us how to laugh! I love you pappy...

Anyone who knew my dad knew what an amazing person he was. He was the funniest person I ever met. My dad was the life of the party. Anything for a joke....something I always admired. No matter what was going on around you, if Chuck was there, you knew it would be fun. He taught me so much...drawing, painting, golf, singing, music but most of all humor. I wasn't ready for this...but no one ever is. I love you dad, you were the best dad there ever was and I will miss you every day until we see each other again.....

I have many fond memories of our friendship. Chuck was always happy and
the life of the party. We shared a few beers on St Patty's Day, so I will have one for him tomorrow.

Like so many in our large family, Chuck always found a way to make me feel special. A true character, that you always wanted to be around. It will be a long time before I can forget him. I think the more you grieve for someone, the more they meant to the world. Carole and Girl,s my heart goes out to you. Jeff

More than just my Father-in-Law, you are my friend, my mentor, and my musical buddy. I can't even begin to tell you how much playing our music has meant to me. You showed me that the music must always come from the heart I promise you that I will always remember that. You will always be with me whenever I pick up a guitar. I am so thankful too, that we were able to record "Danny Boy" you did an awesome job.
