

Charlotte E. Severson, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and teacher, passed away December 26th, 2024, at the age of 90. Charlotte was born and raised in Hudson, Massachusetts and attended North Adams State Teachers College. Charlotte graduated in 1955 and began her teaching career in Greenfield, Massachusetts. Two years later she accepted an offer to teach in Roseville, Michigan and relocated with several friends. While teaching in Roseville, Charlotte met her beloved husband Roy, also a teacher. He predeceased her in 1984.
Charlotte's greatest joy was her family, which she and Roy raised in Warren, Michigan. She was the proud mother of four children: Kristina (Jeffrey) Rice, Matthew (Laurel) Severson, Julie (Michael) Biolchini, and Andrew (Dawn) Severson. She was also a loving grandmother to thirteen grandchildren: Kara (Mark), Mitch (Esme), Elaine, Derek, Jeremy, Nathan (Carrie), Kevin (Danielle), Dominic (Katie), Christian (Mia), Ethan, Joshua, Kateri, and Michaela. Her legacy extended further with three great-grandchildren: Nora, Rowan, and Collin.
Charlotte participated in her children's lives by volunteering for many activities from Cub Scout Den Mother to high school band camp counselor. She was a gifted seamstress, quilter, knitter. and was renowned for her baked goods. Charlotte lived by the motto that "Life is short, eat dessert first!" In her retirement, she travelled the world with cherished friends and was always ready for the next adventure. Charlotte will be deeply missed and remembered by all who knew her.
A Memorial Visitation for Charlotte will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren, Michigan from 11:00AM until the time of her Memorial Service at 3:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her honor to Roseville Community Schools Scholarship Foundation (RCSSF), Attn: Teresa Tomala, 18975 Church St., Roseville, MI. 48066.
