Chris was the beloved wife of 56 years to John Abramczyk, and the loving mother of David Abramczyk, Carrie (Larry) Hillock, and Scott (Teresa) Abramczyk. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Grace, Rachel, Trevor, Brandon, and Michaela. Chris was the cherished sister of Mark (Karen) Cleland, Carl (Wendy) Cleland, and the late Michael (Nancy) Cleland. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members, including her cousins, The Rushtons, whom she treated like her best friends.
Chris adored her garden, especially her beautiful white lilacs, and had a lifelong love for her dogs Cherokee, Bailey, Chelsea, and Cuddles, who are surely waiting for her with wagging tails. She loved traveling with her husband in their camper, heading “up north” or taking road trips around the country to places like Cedar Point and Disney. Throughout her life, Chris worked at K-Mart, Detroit Edison, and Central Transport, but she always considered her most important and rewarding role to be that of a homemaker. She was known for her friendly nature, always stopping to chat with neighbors like Karen and Vito, and for the way she doted on her grandchildren, spoiling them with candy, endless love, and enthusiastic support at all their events.
Chris will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with everyone around her. She will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of those who knew her.
Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, from 3:00 pm until the time of the memorial service at 6:00 pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren.
In lieu of flowers any donations made in her memory to the Parkinson's Foundation would be deeply appreciated. www.parkinson.org
