

Born in Clay City, Kentucky to the late Dominic and Emma Jean Thomas, Deloris was a longtime Michigan resident. Known by the family she held close, local neighbors, and friends across the globe, for her welcoming spirit, Deloris would open her home up to anyone. Deloris was the cherished matriarch of her family; mother and grandmother to all who knew her, whether related by blood or not. She had a passion for bringing joy to others through the art of hairdressing, and her quick and frequent conversation! With the natural sass, unconditional love and independent mindedness that guided her life, and made her deeply memorable to all who knew her, Deloris, or “Honey” as she was often known as, will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, family, and friends who survive her.
Married to the late Jueit for over 60 years. Dear mother of Melinda Cornett and Greg (Shanda) Cornett. Cherished grandmother of Melissa (Ian) Hale, Trisha (Christopher Holt) Cornett, Rianne Cornett, and Kyle Hutchings. Beloved sister of Ethel Jean (Cecil) McCall, Gary (Diane) Thomas, Charlie Thomas, and the late Debbie Earhart. Also survived by many beloved nieces, nephews. great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation Thursday from 11am until 1pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road in Warren. Memorial donations in honor of her late husband may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
