

Ed was born June 10, 1942, in Hamtramck, MI to his parents Edward and Gertrude Lewandowski.
In 1960 he married his wife, companion and love of his life, Sharon (nee Debrowski.) They created a happy home for four children. They shared in joy and sorrow and together, they spent 62 years in marriage.
He was a Third Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus and took great pride in running the annual festival at the former St. Louis The King Catholic Church in Detroit. In his free time he enjoyed relaxing with a challenging puzzle, daydreaming of a 1949 Mercury, playing with the dogs Lilly and Princess, but most importantly and above all was his family, who he loved dearly.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife Sharon, daughters Beverly (Mark) Anger and Princess, grandchildren Brittany (Matt), Bryan, Amanda (Sean), Evan D Lewandowski and Lilly Belle, as well as brothers Paul (Teresa) and Dennis (Debbie), and sister in law Linda Fedorczak.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Sr. and Gertrude, in-laws Joseph and Zita, sister Chris, three of his four children Debbie, Cindy and Dan "Grimkeeper," and siblings Rosemary, Frank, Leonard, Fred, Bell, Ray and Pat.
Friends may visit the AH Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI, 48088 on Monday May 1, 2023 from 2:00P.M. until 8:00P.M. with a Scripture Service at 7:00P.M.
On Tuesday, May 2, 2023 everyone is invited to arrive at the funeral home at 9:30A.M. for morning prayers, beginning at 10:30A.M. At the conclusion of prayers there will be a formal procession from the funeral home to church for the Funeral Mass. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Margaret Of Scotland, 21201 East 13 Mile Road, St. Clair Shores, MI 48082 where Ed will lie in state from 11:45A.M until the Funeral Mass at 12:30P.M. with Father Ronald DeHondt officiating.
