

Emogene is survived by her loving children William Scroggs and Donna (Timothy) Parker. Her dear brothers Robert Daves and James Earl Daves. Also survived by many extended family members and friends. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul Franklin Scroggs on September 5, 1987. Her loving parents Jewell and Iva Daves, and her brother William Daves.
Emogene was born on October 22, 1933 in Morganton, Georgia. She graduated from Fannin County High School in Blue Ridge, Georgia in 1950 and married the boy next door, Paul Scroggs, in 1956. Her two children William and Donna were born in 1958 and 1959, living in Dayton, Ohio before moving to Michigan in 1964.
She made a loving home for her husband and children and delighted in caring for her family. She became a Born Again Christian when she was saved at the age of 12 and would share her love of Jesus with everyone she met. Always teaching Sunday school and vacation bible school at every church she attended as long as she was healthy enough to do so. Playing piano was a favorite pastime as was working in her rose garden and listening to music. She also had a beautiful and impressive book collection.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 12pm, officiated by Pastor Dwight Schultz of First Baptist Church of Sterling Heights, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Interment at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, to follow.
