He could build or fabricate almost anything from wood. He customized a basement in one of his first homes during the 1980's, probably creating one of the first man caves. Woodworking and carpentry were not Ric's only talents. He loved classic cars and many of his hours spent at home would find him tinkering on his two 1964 Thunderbirds. Even though Ric never owned the classic Tucker automobile, he considered the Tucker his favorite classic car of all. Among his favorite memories were the trips that he and Karen made to the Tucker Automobile Museum. In his younger years, Ric was an avid scuba diver and enjoyed camping with family and friends. Ric was a true competitor whether shooting pool or playing a friendly game of cards,...he always wanted to win and hated to lose. Additionally, Ric was a movie buff who loved spending time at the movie theaters, enjoying all the Sci-Fi movies including Star Wars and Star Trek while being a huge Trekkie fan. He even had figurines to go along with his sci-fy movie appreciation.Eric was the cherished husband and best friend of Karen, and is further survived by his two canine sons, Frank"E" and John"E"; along with his four siblings, Terry (Diane) Hartman, Jeff (the late Ellen) Hartman, Susan (Kurt) Jeske, and Holly (Ron Whitomb) Turner.
