

Kulesza, Eugene A. Gene age 72 October 5, 2003 Beloved husband of Patricia Ann. Dearest father of Rosemarie (Allan) Jankowski, Michael (Trisha), Walter, and Terri (Anders) Gustafson. Loving Grandfather of Lori, Jessica, Olivia, Grace, William, and Greta. Eugene Alexander Kulesza was born February 28, 1931 Detroit, Michigan to parents Walter J. and Jozefa (nee: Orlowski) Kulesza. Mr. Kulesza grew up in Hamtramck graduating St. Florian High School in 1949, after High School Mr. Kulesza attended University of Detroit where he received a Masters of Business Administration in 1955. After attending college Mr. Kulesza chose to serve his country in the United States Navy, attaining the rank of captain after 23 years of service. Mr. Kulesza was assigned as the chief recruiter at the Grosse Isle, Michigan base and then finally being assigned to Selfridge Air Base as the recruiter in charge. After serving his country Mr. Kulesza worked for Rubber Materials Corporation for 23 years, serving as their top salesman. During Eugene Kuleszas whole life he shared his love of music, serving as Music Director for the Archdiocese of Detroit for over 40 years, and also as the choir director for St. Dorothys Catholic Church in Warren for 32 years, and finally playing in the St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church Bell Choir and singing in the Choir. He also loved playing his accordion at any opportunity. Along with his many civic duties Mr. Kulesza was a life member of the American-Polish Century Club of Sterling Heights Michigan, for over 30 plus years, serving as the Executive Secretary and also the chief designated soup maker. One would think that Gene had no other time in the day, but he always had time for his wonderful wife Pat and his children and their families. He enjoyed spending time with his family at his cottage in Port Hope, Michigan, gardening around his home and cottage, and also cooking his many Polish delights. He took great pride in visiting his ancestor's homeland of Poland. Funeral services for Gene will begin Thursday at 9:00 am from the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Rd. at Common (12 mile), to St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church for Mass of the Christian Burial at 9:30 am. Officiating the Mass will be Rev. Fr. Roman Pasieczny. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-9 PM and Wednesday 1-9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations appreciated to the St. Dorothy church Choir or the St. Martin dePorres Bell Choir.
