

Ferdinand John Roman "Fred," age 96 of Warren, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Select Specialty Hospital in Mt. Clemens. He was born August 18, 1918 in Detroit, son of the late John and the late Valera Roman.With thanks & praise from a grateful nation, we pay homage to Fred for his service to our country during the World War II era. As a sailor in the U.S. Navy, he attained the rank of Machinist Mate 3rd Class and was assigned duties as a mechanical engineer. Serving from May of 1944 to June of 1946, we honor his patriotism and the sacrifices made in helping to preserve the freedoms and liberties we enjoy today through his dedicated service.Another example of the dedicated service Fred rendered was through his employment with the Chrysler Corporation where he worked in the fabrication department as an automobile seat maker. It was an assignment that required the utmost in detail and precision, and Fred was the right man for the job. Fred was the beloved husband of the late Helen. Dear father of Patricia (Leonard) Colombo, and the late Robert John Bednarz. Loving grandfather of Doreen (Jim) Bryan, Donna (Frank) Liccardelo, and great-grandfather of Christopher, Shelby, Jesse, Nicole, Antonio, and Samuel.Visitation for Fred will be held on Thursday, December 18th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Warren. His Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:30am on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.Please share memories of Fred at his memory book above.
