

Floyd Jackson Jr. was born on September 11, 1936 in Greenville, Mississippi, son of Bill and Edna Jackson. He died on Sunday, July 10, 2016 at the Autumn Woods Health Care Facility in Warren, Michigan. Floyd graduated from O'Bannon High School in Greenville, Mississippi. In the early 60's, he migrated to Detroit, Michigan and, in 1966, met the love of his life, Josephine Congress. On December 17, 1972, they were united in holy matrimony and shared the blessing of raising one beautiful son, Jomaine Bragg.Floyd loved the Lord and accepted Christ at the early age of 14, under the discipleship of Rev. B. Thomas. He continued to be a faithful servant and would remain an active christian throughout his entire life. In 1993, Floyd joined the F.P.B.C. which was under the Rev. R.W. McClendon. In 2007, Floyd became a member of the usher board where he ultimately served as the board's president, a position he held until his death.Floyd was a hard worker and was employed with the Ford Motor Company for over 30 years. Following his many years of dedicated service to the automotive giant, Floyd finally accepted his well-deserved retirement in 2000 and began a new chapter in his life. His retirement years activities included bowling and playing a mean game of bingo.Floyd leaves behind a loving son, Jomaine (Ebony) Bragg, and many other loving family members and friends.Arrangements were entrusted to the D.S.
