Gary J. Schwabe

Gary John Schwabe, age 59 a longtime resident of Warren, died Sunday, September 3, 2006 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren. Mr. Schwabe was born November 19, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan the son of Delphine (nee: Ankofski) and the late Clarence Schwabe. He is survived by his loving wife Linda (nee: Uhl), loving father of Kim (Tim) Bruce and Scott (Shannon) Schwabe. Dear son of Delphine Schwabe. Devoted grandfather of Lauren and Evan Bruce. Brother of Gail (Dan) Brent and Donna (Frank) LaRosa. He is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces and Nephews. Gary was raised in Detroit graduating form St. Thomas High School. After high school he joined the United States Navy where is served his time during Vietnam. After his military service he attended The Detroit Business Institute where he received his Associates Degree. Gary began working as a Workmans Compensation Administrator for General Motors at the Tech Center for 30+ years until his retirement. Mr. Schwabe enjoyed spending time up-north were he would spend most of his time fishing. One of his favorite sayings was Peachy Keen when talking to friends and relatives. He also loved to play a good game of cards. He was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his grandchildren. Visitation for Gary will be Tuesday from 5-9 pm, and Wednesday 2-9 pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Funeral services will begin Thursday at the funeral home at 11 am. Celebrating the funeral services for Mr. Schwabe will be Pastor Jerry Weinzierl.
