Genevieve M. Malek, age 85 of Warren, died Saturday, March 28, 2009 at Windemere Park Senior Community in Warren. Genevieve was born January 21, 1924 in Hamtramck, the daughter of the late Thomas Malek and the late Apolonia (nee: Rys) Malek. Genevieve worked as a secretary for the Mahon Door Corporation of Warren. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking and then sharing her baked goods with family and friends. Genevieve is survived by her sister-in-law Dolores Malek and brother-in-law Ed Kowalec. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Visitation for Genevieve will be held on Tuesday from 5-9 pm with a 7 pm Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile Road). Genevieve will lie In State Wednesday at 10 am until the time of her Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Sylvester Catholic Church. Officiating the Funeral Mass will be Rev. Fr. Gary Schulte.
