George H. Murray

George H. Murray, died peacefully February 25, 2015 surrounded by the love of his family. He was 72 years of age. George was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 24, 1942, son of the late John and Mary (nee: Steele) Murray. He was united in marriage to his beautiful bride, Sandra Lee Conrad on December 18, 1962. They made their home in Harrison Township and their union was blessed with five beautiful children. George was the proud owner and operator of Murray's Barber Shop where everyone was welcomed with kindness. He was the best barber and second to none; he treated every client as a friend. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed playing cards with the guys. George was above all a family man, a man's man who was known for his sense of humor and honesty. He touched a countless number of hearts and lives, and the compassion and friendship that he extended was a blessing to all who knew him. George will be deeply missed, but will remain steadfast in our hearts forever. George is the beloved husband of 52 years to Sandra; dearest father of George (Anna) Murray, Colleen Murray, Michelle (Robert) Liebold, Kimberly (Ross) Focht and Charles Murray; cherished grandfather of George II, Mary, Sara, Daniel, Faren (Chris), Phillip, Sean, Sandra, Charles, Hunter, Jake and Keegan; great grandfather of Molly, Sophia, Cecelia, Grayson, Braylen and Ella; and brother of Patricia Gallagher, Gail Whittenberg and Amber Gwinn. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted with Faulmann & Walsh Golden Rule Funeral Home of Fraser. Visitation for Mr. Murray will be held on Friday, February 27th from 2pm-8pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road in Warren. His Funeral Services will be conducted at 11am on Saturday, February 28th at St. Mark Lutheran Church of Roseville, with additional visitation on Saturday from 10am until time of the funeral service.
