Gerald A. Bloomfield Jr., age 63, died Saturday, March 7, 2009 at his home. He was born in Trenton, Michigan on September 13, 1945 to parents, Gerald and Elizabeth Bloomfield. Having attained the heights of a Master's degree, Gerald was proud of his 25 years of employment with General Motors, where he worked in the Purchasing Dept. He was known by all as an avid crossword solver and was also very active at his church, St. Clement Catholic Church in Center Line, Michigan. Gerald also enjoyed watching and going to sporting events. He was a loving and compassionate man who enjoyed his family and friends. Beloved husband of the late Teresa, and dear father of Mary (David) Thomas. Brother of Robert, Thomas, MaryAnn Schrock, Theresa Cole, Rose Bilek and Margaret Babich. Visitation Tuesday, March 10 from 3-9pm, with a 7pm Scripture Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile) in Warren. Gerald will lie in state on Wednesday, March 11 at St. Clement Catholic Church, 8075 Ritter Avenue, Center Line, Michigan from 9:30am until time of Mass at 10:00am.
