Gloria Diane Faustyn

Gloria Diane Faustyn, (nee: Garbarino), age 81, died Saturday, December 1, 2012 at St. John Macomb Oakland Hospital Macomb Center in Warren surrounded by her loving family. She was born, February 27, 1931 in Detroit the daughter of the late Steven Garbarino, and the late Eva (nee:D'Aoust) Garbarino. Gloria attended St. David's Catholic Church and Grade School and High School in Detroit. She was also married to the love of her life, Robert, at St. David's on May 12, 1956.Robert and Gloria started raising 5 children in Detroit before moving to Warren in 1977, where they made a house a home for their family. Gloria attended most of her children's activities and was a very dedicated mother. Gloria was very active and dedicated to her son, the late Douglas, who had special needs. She and her husband were able to give him the support he needed to lead as much as a normal life as possible. They made sure he was able to do well in school and in the work place. She was known for her good sense of humor and her outgoing personality. She had a way with people and making them feel at ease. Her family describes her as selfless, funny, vivacious, giving, and most of all loving. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Gloria was the beloved wife of Robert. Loving mother of David (the late Jan), Diane (Jim) Chinzi, Daniel (Denise), Donald (Franca), and the late Douglas Faustyn. She was the devoted grandmother of Nathan, Chris, Kari, Gail, Tyler, and Hannah. Sister of Steven (Donna) Garbarino, and the late June (the late James) Broderick. Gloria is also survived by many other loving family members and friends. Memorial Visitation Monday 5-9pm with a Vigil Service at 7:30pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road). Her Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday at St. Sylvester Catholic Church at 10:00am.
