

Helen was immensely proud of her Italian heritage, which played an integral role in shaping her character and values. She loved nothing more than cooking a meal of spaghetti and meatballs, her families favorite.
In her professional life, Helen worked as a secretary at General Electric for ten years, where she met the love of her life, Thomas C. Pawelkowski. They were married for 60 beautiful years, sharing a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Together, they built a family and created a lasting legacy of devotion to one another. In her later years, she treasured her time spent with her grandchildren.
Helen had an adventurous spirit, often enjoying outings with family and friends to some of the finest restaurants in town. She also had a deep appreciation for pop culture, particularly the music of the 1950s. She loved following celebrities and was thrilled when she had the opportunity to meet President Ronald Reagan during her time at General Electric.
Her passion for travel took her across the country and around the world, often for work. Notable trips included visits to New York, Las Vegas, California, and Europe where she made cherished memories that stayed with her throughout her life.
Helen’s warm heart, joyful spirit, and zest for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love for her family and a life lived to the fullest.
Helen is the beloved wife of Thomas Pawelkowski. The loving mother of Stephen T. (Maureen) Pawelkowski, Andrea M. Pawelkowski, and Eric A. Pawelkowski. The cherished grandmother of Michael (Lauren) Pawelkowski, Brenna Pawelkowski, and Grace Pawelkowski. Preceded in death by her siblings Fred (the late Genieva) Fago, Carmella (the late John) Bacovcin, Jeanette (the late Robert) Hildebrandt, Phillip (Elaine) Fago, and Frank (Joan) Fago. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, March 29, from 3pm until the time of the funeral service at 5pm, at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, in Warren.
In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer’s Association in her honor would be deeply appreciated.
