Jacquelyn Mae Johnson

Jacquelyn Mae Johnson, age 80, of Warren, Michigan passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. Jacquelyn was born October 14, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan to her late parents, Edward and Betty (Pagel) Duveyoung.

Jacquelyn was raised in Warren and attended Pershing High School in Detroit. She then went on to take some college courses at Macomb Community College. Jacquelyn worked for her parents’ restaurants, Duveyoungs, for 20 years before opening her own cleaning service called Chrmarjo. Jacquelyn was married to the love of her life, Edward, for 55 years before his passing in 1996. Together, they raised two sons and eventually four wonderful grandchildren. Jacquelyn was able to find love yet again when she met her loving partner of 13 years, Richard, until his passing this year.

Jacquelyn was known to be a very caring, kind, funny, and extremely giving woman. She dedicated her time to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Warren for many years, and even participated in the church choir and hand bells group. She also was active in the Holy Cross food pantry. In her leisure time, Jacquelyn loved to spend time tending to her garden. Her dedication and attention to detail to her flowers even won her the Warren Beautification Award. Above all, Jacquelyn loved spending time with her family and her close friends. She will be missed and loved beyond measure by every heart she touched.

Jacquelyn was the beloved wife of the late Edward and Partner of the late Richard Bown. Loving mother of Mark (Nancy) and Chris Johnson. Adored grandmother of Joey (Jordan), Amanda (Christopher Mills), Joshua, and Alec Johnson. Dear sister of April (the late Bill) Johnson and Edward Duveyoung. Cherished sister-in-law of Bill and Joanne Johnson, Diane and the late Jack Johnson, Barbara (Ken) Gehlert, and the late Sharon and late Ken. Treasured friend of Jean Weeks, Diane Lentini, and Sharon Muradian.

Visitation for Jacquelyn will be held Thursday, December 16th from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI 48093. She will lie in state Friday from 10am until the time of her Funeral Service at 11am at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 30003 Ryan Rd, Warren, MI 48092.
