James W. Brown

James William Brown, age 55 of Sterling Heights and formerly a longtime resident of Hamtramck, died Monday, October 18, 2010 at his home. James was born June 08, 1955 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Aaron W. Brown and the late Mary (nee: Boling) Brown. James graduated from Hamtramck High School in 1972 and later worked for American Axle in Hamtramck before retiring. When time off allowed Jim enjoyed hunting and golfing with his brother. He was a hardworking man who worked many overtime shifts. He also was the past president of the Hamtramck Fraternal Order of Police Hall #109. Jim will be remembered as a true friend to many. James is survived by his wife Carol (nee: Kutyla) Brown, and his siblings; Margaret Ann (Gary) Brunett, Aaron (Corinne) Brown, and Leonard (Dolores) Brown. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation for James will be Wednesday from 3- 9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday morning 10am at the Funeral Home. Officiating the services will be Rev. Kevin McGuire. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
