

James Alan Glister, lovingly known as Jim, passed away on January 1, 2026, at the age of 59. Jim was born on May 16, 1966, in Warren, Michigan, to his parents, the late John and Audrey Glister. He was preceded in death by his beloved grandmother, Martha “Great Granny” Ostrich.
Jim was a loving brother to Dave Glister and the late Susan Glister-Berg. Cherished uncle to Aleksa Fortuna, Zak Fortuna, Hali Fortuna, Austin Glister, and Ashleigh Glister. He also leaves behind many other loving family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Jim had a joyful spirit and a wide range of passions. He adored his cat, Ellen, and had a lifelong love of cars, especially Camaros. He enjoyed candy, music (with a special fondness for Madonna, Cher, and Lady Gaga), gardening, and traveling. Pennsylvania held a special place in his heart, as did cities like Chicago and New York. Above all, Jim treasured spending time with his parents and his nieces and nephews, creating memories filled with laughter and love.
Professionally, Jim was an outstanding manager who oversaw multiple stores and took great pride in his work. He was known for his dedication, leadership, and strong work ethic. Beyond his career, Jim was actively involved in his community, participating in cancer walks and supporting causes close to his heart.
Jim’s kindness and love for family will be remembered always.
