Jean Charlotte Ulmer

Jean was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Julian Ulmer, and her daughter, Bernice Gray. She is survived by her son, Earl Gray (Jennifer Gray); her cherished grandchildren, Stephanie Newcomb (Nicholas Newcomb), Thomas Gray, and Kasey Gray; and her adored great-grandchildren, Alexander Newcomb, Nico Newcomb, and Charlotte Newcomb.

Jean devoted her professional life to caring for others. She was a registered nurse and proudly served as the head of the Oakland County Health Department. Known for her tireless work ethic and unwavering dedication, Jean spent her career helping people and improving the health and well-being of her community.

Above all, Jean was selfless and compassionate, always putting the needs of others before her own. She loved spending time with her family and friends and found her greatest joy in being surrounded by those she loved. Her kindness, strength, and generosity touched countless lives and will be remembered by all who knew her.

Jean’s legacy of service, love, and devotion will continue to live on through her family and the many people she helped throughout her life.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17, from 3:00pm until 7:00pm with a prayer service at 6:00pm, at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren.
