Jerome S. Cipkowski

Jerome S. Cipkowski, 82, of Warren, died Monday, September 5, 2005 in Shelby Nursing Center, in Shelby Township. Jerome was born December 2, 1922 in Detroit to Walter and Jennie Cipkowski. In September of 1947 he married his wife Theodora "Teddy". In 1969 He and his family moved to Warren, into the house in which he was still living to this day. Mr. Cipkowski was the owner of Durable Design Co. in Ferndale for over 40 years. He worked there six days a week up until last year when he sold the company at the age of 81. Jerome loved the outdoors. He loved fishing, boating spending time at his cottage, and mushroom hunting. Some of his other favorite hobbies were bowling, photography and golf. He is a former member of Buring Tree Country club. Jerome dearly loved his grandchildren and was always quick to help his family in any way they may have needed. Mr. Cipkowski is survived by his daughter Mary Ann (John) Kuhn; and grandchildren Jennifer, Paula and John. He is preceded in death by his wife Teddy. Visitation for Mr. Cipkowski will be held Tuesday from 5-9 and Wednesday from 2-4 & 6-9 pm with any evening scripture service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 1/2 Mile). The funeral Mass will take place a St. Martin DePorres Catholic Church. Please call the funeral home for service information.
