
John Raymond Evans, 79, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025. Born on May 13, 1946, in Toronto, Ontario, John was the son of James and Patricia Evans and grew up in a large, lively household as one of eight children. He cherished his role as a brother, and later became a proud uncle, great-uncle, and great-great-uncle to many nieces and nephews who adored him.
John was the beloved husband of 38 years to the late Rosalyn Evans, the love of his life. Together, they shared countless adventures, traveling across the United States and especially enjoying trips to warm, sunny destinations. Their journeys were a source of joy, laughter, and treasured memories. John served his country with honor as a veteran of the U.S. Army. After his service, he devoted many years of hard work to Chrysler, where he formed lasting friendships and earned the respect of all who worked alongside him. Known for his warm heart, quick wit, and infectious smile, John had a remarkable ability to brighten any room. He loved to make others laugh, often cracking jokes that his friends and family will remember fondly. His kindness, humor, and easygoing spirit made him someone people were naturally drawn to, he was very loving and truly loved by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 16, at 2:00pm at Clinton Grove Cemetery, 21189 Cass Avenue in Clinton Township.
