John Joseph Schoeberle

John Joseph Schoeberle, age 80, a resident of Warren, Michigan, died Thursday, August 14th, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. John "Joe" was born in 1934 in Shipman, Macoupin County, Illinois, son of the late Sylvester and the late Nora Schoeberle. Joe was raised in Illinois and received college degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana, and a Business Degree from Washington University at St. Louis, Missouri. Joe also served two years in the United States Army during the Korean War, stationed in both Korea and Hawaii.As part of his employment portfolio, Joe held high level engineering and sales positions with Cummins Diesel Engines, Carter Carburetor, Emerson Motors, Detroit Automotive Diffs, and Tochigi Fuji Diffs. Together, with his extensive education and experiential skill sets, Joe proudly and loyally extended the utmost in dedicated service to the automotive industry for over forty-one years. Throughout his career, Joe's assignments took him to 67 foreign countries, including a three year residence in Paris, France.Mr. Schoeberle is survived by his dear wife of over 25 years, Virginia. He is the father of Mia Schoeberle (Joe Cravo) of Kearny, New Jersey, Jennifer (Glenn) Huber, Laurel (Michael) Emerick, and William (Gina) Sweet. He is further survived by his ten beautiful Grandchildren: Paul, Brian, John, Justin, Kyle, Hannah, Madison, Morgan, Maria and Sienna. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Mary Alice and Marge, and one brother, Dan Schoeberle.Visitation for Mr. Schoeberle will be held on Monday, August 18th from 5-7pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 mile) in Warren. He will lie in state Tuesday, 9am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church until time of the Funeral Liturgy at 9:30am. Celebrating the Funeral Mass will be Reverend Fr.
