John Serbenski, of Warren, age 98, died Thursday, October 18, 2012 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital in Pontiac. He was born April 11, 1914 in Poland the son of the late Julian and the late Emilia (nee: Marez) Serbenski. Beloved husband of the late Olga. Loving father of Kenneth (Donna). Dear grandfather of Kelly (GiGi), Kara (Derek), and Kevin (Julie). Great grandfather of Parker, Rylie, Connor, and Jake. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Rose (Fred) Fotyniuk. Visitation for Mr. Serbenski will be held Wednesday 3-9 pm with a 7 pm Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). He will lie in state Thursday 9:30 am until the time of his funeral Mass at 10:00 am at St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Township.
