Joseph Iezzi, age 72, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on May 8, 2026. Born in Detroit, Michigan, to Daniel and Jacqueline Iezzi, Joe was raised in Eastpointe, formally known as East Detroit. Joe graduated from East Detroit High School and later proudly earned his associate degree from Macomb Community College in 2008, proving it is never too late to accomplish a goal.
He was the beloved fiancé of Brenda Nasiatka. Devoted father to Joseph (Angela) Iezzi, Alex (Kaitlyn) Iezzi, and Ashley (Steven) Parrinello. Joe was an incredibly proud Papa to Ella, Everleigh, Zachary, and Matthew Iezzi, along with Domonic and Broc Parrinello, who brought endless joy to his life.
Joe was the dear brother of Cindy Cairns, Donna Schmidt, Shari Cheick, Kathleen Iezzi, and the late Daniel Iezzi. He also leaves behind many cherished relatives and was dearly loved by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, lifelong friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know his generous spirit.
Anyone who spent time with Joe knew he loved the simple pleasures in life: fishing trips, hunting adventures (whether anything was caught or not), and the thrill of finding hidden treasures at garage sales. For Joe, it was never really about the fish, the hunt, or the bargain, it was about the stories, the laughter, and the people beside him.
Joe had a joyful heart, a quick willingness to help anyone in need, and a deep devotion to his faith. As a proud usher at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, he lived his beliefs through kindness, compassion, and service to others.
Above all else, Joe treasured time spent with family and friends. His big heart, warm smile, and unforgettable presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Rosary at 7:00pm at D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, Michigan 48093.
