Karen Anne Dimock, age 55 of Warren, died Wednesday, March 31, 2021 in the comforts of her home. She was born March 8, 1966 in Highland Park, Michigan, daughter of Lawrence and Gloria (nee: Taipalus) Klerkx.
With her passing coming just shy of her 32nd wedding anniversary, Karen was blessed to share over 31 of those with the love of her life, Mr. Michael Dimock. They exchanged their vows of marriage on May 13, 1989 at St. Edmund Catholic Church in Livonia and began their journey together as husband & wife in the eyes of family and friends alike.
More than merely a helpmate and homemaker, Karen was also a part of the workforce having been employed for many years as an accounting clerk for the Sterling Insurance Group in Sterling Heights, Michigan. She was truly an integral member of her team, and extended the utmost in service excellence and customer care in carrying out her duties. A loyal and dedicated employee, she was proud to represent this outstanding company and its cliental.
Another benefactor of Karen’s profound faithfulness and dedication was found through her membership and allegiance with the fraternal ties she held to the Loyal Order of Moose. Just one of the countless females who form the “Women of the Moose,” Karen was an esteemed member of both the Avon Rochester Lodge, #409 and the St. Clair Shores Lodge, #1837, helping to do her part in caring for the community.
When she found some time of her own and needed to drive somewhere, Karen’s excitement would kick in to overdrive (no pun intended) as she knew that meant it was time to slide into that fine specimen of Motor City machinery,…her white, convertible Chevrolet Camaro, the car of her dreams. This eye-turning example of one of General Motor’s finest creations, each ride provided Karen a massive dose of automotive ecstasy.
As for a taste of homespun relaxation, enjoying a bit of her television favorites was always a great source of entertainment,…especially when she was taking in the shows, “Yellowstone” and “Cobra Kai.” From Kevin Costner to Ralph Macchio, and each actor in between, Karen was never short on some great acting and excellent story lines. It was simply a great way to sit back, refresh, and take in some awesome TV.
Yet of all the joys and pleasures that life had to afford Karen, little was as near & dear to her heart as the love she nurtured for her precious pets,…her “fur babies,” Sammy, Snickers and Bella. Sammy and Snickers were Karen’s cherished Golden-Doodles, and Bella was her precious kitty. So whether she was looking for a little canine companionship or feline friendliness, she definitely had both bases covered. Needless to say, between Michael, Sammy, Snickers and Bella, Karen’s life could not have been surrounded by more love than that she knew in these four.
A loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and Fur Mama, Karen leaves us far too soon, but not without imparting the best of herself into the hearts and souls of all she was blessed to know and love. Her legacy of love is sure to leave its imprint, and will be fondly remembered with each reflection shared. The lives she touched were many, and the love she shared was bountiful. May she know the joys of Heaven as she rests safely in the arms of God.
Karen was the beloved wife of Michael. Precious daughter of Lawrence & Gloria Klerkx, and daughter-in-law of the late Charles & the late Stephanie Dimock. Dearest sister of Brian (Andrea) Klerkx, Loving aunt of Courtney Klerkx. She is also survived by cousins, Linda, Carol, Lindsey, Christopher, and Fur-Babies, Sammy, snickers, and Bella.
Due to the current Covid pandemic, the family has chosen to host a Memorial Service for Karen to be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home in Warren, Michigan.
