

Kathleen Grace Borycz age 73 died Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. Kathleen was born September 14, 1945, in Detroit Michigan the daughter of the late Leonard Liberda and the late Genevieve (nee: Colondo) Liberda.Kathleen was raised in Detroit and worked for her parents from a young age at their Liberda Market. She graduated from St. Stanislaus Catholic High School and later married. As fate would have it Kathleen and her husband parted ways and she found herself a single mother raising her two sons, they would affectionately call themselves the "Three Musketeers".Kathleen and her sons settled on the east side of Detroit where the boys attended St. Jude Grade School and later graduated from Notre Dame Catholic High School. Kathleen worked two jobs and sometimes three jobs to provide a good home and everything her boys needed. Her family was paramount in her life... she cherished her sons and adored her parents.Kathleen worked for the Meijer Grocery chain for over 25 years in many different areas from loss prevention to greeter before retiring. She eventually moved out of Detroit to Warren into her townhome. Her time away from work always seemed to center around her family and grandchildren. She would attend most of her grandchildren's sporting and school events along with spending time with her family during the holidays.Above her passion for her family was her love of Elvis Presley, playing Bingo, watching her beloved Detroit Tigers and Lions play, and also enjoying a good meal. Quiet time for Kathleen was spent at home watching the Hallmark channel or on Sundays enjoying the CBS Sunday Morning Show. She will forever be missed by her entire family as the #1 Mom and #1 Grandma, Ma, and Jelly Bean.Kathleen was the cherished mother of Kenneth (Canice) Borycz and Kevin (Rebecca) Borycz. She was the loving Grandma and a.k.a. Ma, and Jelly Bean of Meghan (Joe) Ealy, Orrin (Rebecca) Bryant, Colleen Borycz, Evyn Bryant, Patricia Borycz, Dawson Borycz, Kenny Borycz, RileyLynn Borycz, Carson Borycz, and great-grandmother of Christina, Tara, and Millie. She was the dear sister of Patricia (the late Ted) Lemke, Janet (Brian) Andreichuk, and former wife of Gerald Borycz. Visitation for Kathleen will be held on Thursday from 2:30-9pm. at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Warren. She wil lie in state Friday 10:30am until the time of the Funeral Mass 11am at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Sterling Heights. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Reverend Fr.
