Kathleen "Kathy" Marie Carpenter

Kathleen “Kathy” M. Carpenter, died on Saturday, January 13, 2024 in Warren, surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 10, 1960 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Jerome Cook and the late Doris (nee: McAuley) Cook.

After graduating in 1978 from Paul K. Cousino High School in Warren, Kathy began to dabble in the work force. She began working in the healthcare field where she would finally obtain the position of Executive Assistant at Henry Ford Hospital. Beyond her work life you could catch Kathy volunteering for numerous organizations. She had a huge passion for helping those in need.

On September 15, 1996 Kathy married the love of her life, Bill. They made Warren their home for 27 years where she would raise their two beautiful children together.

Kathy was extremely proud of her children’s educational accomplishments. Sarah is continuing her education at Saginaw Valley pursuing a masters in occupational therapy. Billy recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from Wayne State with a bachelors degree in Business Management.

Kathy also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family taking trips. They would venture out to new restaurants to try new foods, doing a little retail therapy for clothes or whatever else they could find. Kathy’s smile and laughter for many was therapy in its-self. She brought a lot of joy to anyone she was around. The memory of Kathy will continue on in our hearts forever. She will be greatly missed.

She was the beloved wife of William “Bill” Carpenter. Loving mother of Sarah and William “Billy” Carpenter. Dear sister of Karen (Joe) Walters, and John (Cheryl) Cook. Sister-in-law of Ray VandenEynde, Mike (Joanie) Carpenter, Mary (Dave) Zieman, and Steve Carpenter. She was also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews.

She was pre-deceased by her parents; Jerome & Doris Cook; her sister; Susan VandenEynde; her parents-in-law; Bill & Marilyn Carpenter, and her nephew; Adam Zieman.

Visitation for Kathy will be held on Saturday, January 20th 3pm-8pm with a 7pm Funeral Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road).
