

He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Laske). Loving father of Eric (Diana) Kostendt, and Becki (Kevin) Borycz. Devoted grandfather of Jacob Amore, Dawson Borycz, RileyLynn Borycz, Andrew Kostendt, and Carson (Kloi) Borycz. Brother-in-law of Lorraine (Leroy) Boza, and Timothy (Karen) Laske. He was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and other friends and family. Ken was predeceased by his three brothers, William, Robert and Gerald.
A proud Marine, he earned a Purple Heart during his service in Vietnam, embodying the qualities that define heroes today. After his military service, he dedicated 42 years to Chrysler as a skilled die maker, retiring in 2007 from the Sterling Stamping Plant.
On May 16, 1970, he married the love of his life, Barbara, at St. Clement Catholic Church in Center Line, Michigan. Ken and Barb settled in Center Line where they raised a beautiful family.
Ken was active in the community and was a proud member of the Dad's Club at St. Clement Catholic Church, finding joy in selling Christmas trees during the holidays and helping out at Eric's football games.
Ken cherished is family, his proudest title was that of “Grandpa”. Ken rarely missed any of his grandchildren's sporting events or school concerts.
Near retirement and the kids all grown with family of their own, Ken and Barb moved from Center Line and settled in Washington Township, Michigan.
Ken’s passions included golf, euchre, poker, camping, crossword puzzles, and hunting. All of these hobbies he shared with his close friends and family.
Known for his quiet yet strong nature, Kenneth was selfless, always putting others first. His love for gatherings around the fire with family and friends created cherished memories. His presence will be deeply missed, leaving a void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Visitation for Ken will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023, from 3pm-9pm, with a 7pm Celebration of Life Tribute at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road). Funeral service will take place at 11am Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the funeral home.
