Laura E. Wiley

Laura Elizabeth Wiley, age 86 a longtime resident of Warren, died Sunday, October 11, 2009 at her home. Laura was born June 02, 1923 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late James Bleasdale and the late Bernice (nee: Cronk) Bleasdale. Mrs. Wiley was raised in Detroit and graduated from St. Benedicts High School. During World War II she worked at the Detroit Central Train Station working in communications with the military personnel. Her later career for many years was working as the office manager for Saslow Dental Supply until her retirement. When Mrs. Wiley was not working her focus and passion was her family and grandchildren. She never missed a school event to support her grandchildren. Also she enjoyed watching the Detroit Red Wings, playing Bingo, completing crossword puzzles, and visiting the Greektown Casino. Mrs. Wiley is survived by her beloved daughter Jaylane (Doug) Thacker. She is the loving grandmother of Mark, Sean, Chelsea, Lauren, and the sister of the late Deloris Cichoracki, and Eileen Fogoros. Mrs. Wiley is also the dear sister in-law of August Fogoros, and is further survived by many nieces and nephews. A private Memorial service will be held at a later date.
