Lucya Sajor "Lucy" – age 66 of Warren, died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Macomb Center in Warren. She was born April 15, 1949 in Germany, daughter of the late Jan and the late Genowefa (nee: Brzezicki) Gdyra. Lucy will always be remembered as a hard-working woman,…not only in the care of her family and home, but in the many years she spent at the TACOM plant in Warren. As part of the procurement department, she was an integral part of managing and monitoring the supply chain within the facility. With an impressive 42 years under her belt, Lucy dedicated the best part of her work ethics into her job and left quite an impact in her wake. It was, finally, in 2012 that Lucy accepted her well-deserved retirement. When she wasn't working, Lucy enjoyed a host of different pastimes over the years,…but there is no question that the sweetest escapes were the countless hours she spent at Detroit's, Motor City Casino. To those who knew Lucy, they'll attest that it was her "home away from home." She just loved to give Ol' Lady Luck a run for her money,…each time she gave those slot machines some exercise. And if she wasn't feeding her gambling appetite, you'd often find her enjoying the second best treat at the casino,…a trip to the buffet. Passing through the doors at Motor City meant that Lucy was sure to be rewarded. If not with a pile of money, then with a belly-full of the tasty food.Lucy was also known for her love of flowers. Between their beauty and fragrance, they always lifted her spirits and helped to remind her of the delicate wonder of nature. From her gardening pleasures to the array of colors and magnificence at the Eastern Market she enjoyed so well, Lucy truly appreciated the delight of floral splendor. And just as much as her passion for petals, Lucy was quite renowned for her penchant in shopping. This "Department Store Diva" truly knew her was around the sales and deals, and always came away the victor. She was always stylin' and forever the Belle of the Ball,…and ready for the red carpet.Yet of all the things that brought her joy, not much could top the affection and warm fuzzies she received from her four-legged friends, Trudie, Rosie, Heidi and Mitzi. We all know the love and warmth that pets can behold,…and none more than Lucy when it came to her precious pups.A lady described as unselfish and generous, these and a host of other descriptive phrases can easily be traced to her deep and abiding faith in God. Lucy was girded up and guided by her love of the Blessed Mother, a relationship she found both important and meaningful as she walked this sod and tried to do His will each day. Her faith was not only strong, but touched a multitude of hearts in her journey through life and leaves an impact that will forever be embraced.A loving mother & grandmother, Lucy leaves a legacy of love that was both unique and infectious, and will abide with each refection shared. The dearest benefactors are sure to be her children & grandchildren with whom she loved beyond expression or measure. From the countless family celebrations around birthdays and the holidays,…to supporting her grandchildren at their various activities,…even to celebrating her two, new grandbaby twin boys on the way,…Lucy's capacity to love was immense, and it poured from her being like a warm ray of sunshine for the soul. A life gone far too soon from our presence here, she's been changed,…in the twinkling of an eye,…and is safe in the arms of God. She will be missed beyond words, and loved eternally. Lucy was the beloved mother of Lisa Drysdale, James (Emily) Sajor, and Steve Sajor. Cherished grandmother of Kaitlyn and Brandon. Dear sister of Jenny Seelye, Mary Jane Hentkowski, John Gdyra, the late Adam, and the late Evelyn. Visitation for Lucy will be held Tuesday, February 16th from 3-9pm, with a 6:00 pm Rosary Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. She will lie in state on Wednesday from 10:30 am until time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 am at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Sterling Heights.
