

Madelyn J. Baker,(nee: Azzopardi), age 52, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 after a courageous battle of multiple sclerosis at Father Murray Nursing Home in Center Line. She was born April 9, 1960 in Detroit the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Margaret (nee: Tackx) Azzopardi. Madelyn was diagonsed in 1986 with multiple sclerosis. She fought a long battle until her passing. She was known for her good sense of humor and feisty personality. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, and baking. She had an artistic touch that she always used while decorating. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, James; siblings, Sharron (Ronald) Champine, Richard (Cynthia) Azzopardi, JoAnne (the late Frederick) Wythe, Joseph (Teresa) Azzopardi, Tammy (Charles) Paquette, and the late Carolyn (Arlen) Marshall. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation for Madelyn will be held Saturday 5-9 pm and Sunday 2-9 pm with a 7 pm Rosary Service at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Road). She will lie in state Monday 9:00 am until the time of her funeral Mass at 9:30 am at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Officiating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. Roman Pasieczny.
