

Margaret Braden, age 83 of Clinton Township, died Monday June 17, 2013 at the Church of Christ Nursing Home in Clinton Township Michigan. Marge was born on December 1, 1929 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of the late George and the late Frances (nee: Banas) Slis.Marge was raised in Detroit and graduated from Northeastern High School in Detroit. In her younger years she worked various jobs before marrying and becoming a homemaker.Mrs. Braden was an avid reader who enjoyed solving puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. She also could be found playing Bingo at her residence within the American House or detailing many of her wonderful stories to the residents who also remembered her wry sense of humor.Margaret was a person devoted to the Lord who gave back to her community volunteering her time or assisting with the expansion of the Bethany Christian Services. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Robert, and a dear aunt to many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by siblings, Mary Mlinarcik, Rose Grimes, George, Joseph, and John. Visitation for Margaret will be held Tuesday from 3-9pm, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Rd) in Warren. She will lie in state Wednesday 10:30am, at SS. John & Paul Catholic Church, 7777 Twenty-eight Mile Road in Washington, MI. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11am. Celebrating the Funeral Liturgy will be Rev. Fr. David Buersmeyer. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
