Marion E. Porter, 83, of Warren, died at her home Monday, February 6, 2006 Marion was born in Flint, Michigan in 1922 to Bert and Ida Siegel. In October of 1950 she married her husband William. After they began their family they moved to Warren in 1962. Marion was a volunteer at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be remembered as a quiet cheerful woman. Marion is the beloved wife of the late William, dearest mother of Valerie Ridley, Bethany, David (Arestea) and the late Patricia and Jeffrey, loving grandmother of Alexander, Dimitrios and Penelope, and dear sister of the late Marjorie Strother and Arthur Davis. Visitation for Marion will be Wednesday from 4-9 pm with a 7:00 pm rosary at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover at Common (12 1/2 Mile). Marion will be in state Thursday, 10:00 am until the time of Mass, 10:30 am at St. Edmund Catholic Church, Warren. The Mass will be officiated by Fr. Dominic Rossi. Interment will be at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy.
