

Mark J. Magnan, age 61 of Madison Heights, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Clinton Aire Healthcare Center in Clinton Township, Michigan. He was born on May 5, 1953 in Detroit, son of the late Roland and the late Violet (nee: Halkey) Magnan.Mark was the loving father of Michele (Charles) Mason and Lori (Wesley) Cain. Dearest grandfather of Amber, Livvie, Brooke & Luke. Devoted brother of Steven (Katy) Magnan.Mr. Magnan was a sports fanatic, during football season every Sunday was a "football Sunday". When Mark was younger he played hockey. He often joked about being a semi-pro goalie. Mark enjoyed a good bargain, and as you might imagine, he enjoyed searching flea markets and garage sales for those bargains. Mr. Magnan also enjoyed spending time at the casino and playing cards with family and friends. Mark also LOVED to eat. He treasured the family vacations or "field trips" he took with his family when they were younger. He maintained his love of travel throughout his life. Mark had aspirations of making it big in Hollywood when he tried out for the Gong show, but unfortunately got gonged during his performance. He was a man with a tough exterior, but a heart of gold. He had a dry, witty sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh, especially himself.Visitation for Mark will be held on Saturday, May 31st from 5-9pm and Sunday from 3-9pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd) in Warren. His Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, 11:00am at the funeral home.
