

Mignonette Mary Nash (nee: Pawlowski), age 86, died Tuesday, March 2, 2017 at St. John Macomb Hospital in Warren, Michigan. Mignonette was born November 18, 1930 in Harbor Beach, Michigan, daughter of the late Clemens Pawlowski and the late Anna (nee: Susalla) Pawlowski.Mignonette was raised on the family farm in Harbor Beach and graduated from Our Lady of Lake Huron High School. Following high school she moved to Detroit in search of employment. Mignonette first found work at the J.L. Hudson's Department Store and later became a clerk within the Marsh & McClellan Insurance Agency.Eventually, Mignonette found her soul mate in Walter Nash and the two wed and shortly afterwards started a burgeoning family together. Mignonette and Walter would build a new home in Center Line, Michigan where, together, they raised four daughters. Mignonette became the consummate homemaker and mother. Her daughter's remember coming home to freshly baked homemade cookies and cakes. Also, Mignonette would sew clothing for her daughters and volunteer many hours at their school. She enjoyed tending to her garden and canning vegetables. Being raised on a farm, Mrs. Nash enjoyed her time in the outdoors. Over the years the family had many camping adventures to various locations across Michigan, and even into Quebec, Canada.Mrs. Nash was devoted to her church and Catholic faith. She was a member of the St. Clement Choir, a member of the funeral luncheon volunteers, and a member of the Daughters of Isabella. Over the years Mrs. Nash forged many friendship with fellow parishioners through her volunteer efforts and socializing. Later in life, after her husband had died, Mrs. Nash enjoyed going out to dinners at various restaurants with her family. She made new friends at her assisted living residence along with playing Bingo, crafting, taking day trips, and spending quiet times reading.Mignonette Mary Nash was the beloved wife of the late Walter Nash and the dearest mother of Laura (Mark) Barnett, Noreen Nash, Lisa (Brian) Feuer, Julie (Kenneth) Arthurs. She was the loving grandmother of Steven, Rachel, Ross, and Lindsay. Mrs. Nash was the sister of the late Wilbert (Albina) Pawlowski, Orville (Irene) Pawlowski, the late Jim Pawlowski (wife Gertrude surviving), Evelyn Kanaby (Richard), Clementine (Angelo) Vaccariello, the late Arlene (William) Craffey, Marjorie (Orion) Bessinger, the late Clemens Pawlowski Jr. (wife Judy surviving), and Clifford (Kathy) Pawlowski. Mrs. Nash is also survived by many loving family members and friends. Visitation for Mrs. Nash will be held Sunday, March 5th from 3-9pm, with a 6pm Evening Prayer Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 ½ Mile Road) in Warren. Mrs. Nash will lie in state Monday, 9:30am at St. Mary, Our Lady Queen of Families Catholic Church (formerly St. Clement) until the time of the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am.
