

Paul was born on April 26, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan where he was raised by his parents George and Erma Toyryla. He trained as an apprentice and achieved his Journeyman card as a Tool and Die Maker and later was a Tool Inspector for the Chrysler Corporation (FCA). Paul met his wife Susann when he was young and saved her as a teenager after she fell into the water while paddleboarding. They went on to be married for 58 years, until she passed away in March 2022.
He is the survived by his sons Todd (Michelle) and Craig (Andrea) Toyryla, grandchildren Trevor, Trenton, Cole and Cecelia and brother-in-law Richard Marx. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his loving wife Susann, as well as his brothers and sisters-in-law Beth Marx, John (Patricia) Marx and Hattie (Raymond) Decker.
Friends and family may visit the AH Peters Funeral Home 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, MI on Tuesday October 25, 2022, from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service at 7:00 P.M., also scheduled for Tuesday October 25, 2022.
