Peter was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was an avid bowler, belonging to many different leagues through work and with friends. As a homebody, he loved to watch Tigers baseball, a classic western, or read a good mystery novel. Being a grandfather and great grandfather was the most important thing to him and he always looked forward to any time spent with them. He was the life of the party, had an amazing sense of humor, and always loved to photobomb a picture.
Peter is the beloved husband of Carole Poulin for 42 years. The loving father of Annette (David) Stocks, David (Cassandra) Ferland, Philip Ferland, Jeffery (Katrina) Ferland, Stephen Ferland, and Christopher Ferland. Cherished grandfather of Chelsea (Andrew) Giannetti, Shelby (Micah) Manore, Jessica (Mark) Keane, Gregory (Haley) Ferland, Jennifer (Robert) Brown, Stephanie Ferland, Dani (Ashley) Ferland, Kyle (Vivi) Ferland, Bryce (Tori) Ferland, and Christian Ferland; proud great grandfather of 21. Preceded in death by his sister Barbara Poulin.
A visitation for Peter will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren, Michigan 48088. An instate will occur Saturday, December 7, 2024 from 10:30 AM until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Sterling Heights, 33380 Ryan Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan 48310.
