Phylestene was born in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Willie and Mary Steffey. Phylestene was a member of Faith Baptist Church for over 40 years. She cherished her family above all else will be remembered as the loving caregiver of her family. A devoted mom, granny, great-granny, sister, and friend to many, Phylestene will be dearly missed.
Loving wife of the late Damon C. Rose. Beloved mom of Patricia (Rodgers) Miller, Katherine (Shawn) Grawburg, Damon (Erika Hunter) Rose Jr., and the late Teena (David) Semear. Cherished granny of Vanessa, Adam, Jessica, Brian, Kenneth, Sara, Eric, Johnathan, Justin, Damon “Lil’ D”, Katie, Katelyn, and Shane. Caring great-granny to over 20 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Garfield (Rose) Steffey, Clayton (the late Sandy) Steffey, the late Jacquelyn Pruitt, Edward (the late Betty), Steffey, Cleadus (the late Jean) Steffey, and Geraldine (the late Raymond) Bowlin. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and extended family.
Visitation Sunday, September 12th from 2pm until 8pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home in Warren. Funeral service Monday, September 13th at 10am at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, in Warren. Burial to take place at Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Rochester Hills.
