Becky was an avid soccer player from the age of 5 into her adult years, even coaching a few youth teams while she was in the service. Her hometown teams: Red Wings, Tigers, and even Lions (oh my!) were always with her. A Henrik Zetterberg flag flew in Afghanistan, showing her hometown pride.
Becky was known for her sense of humor and practical jokes. She had a smile that lit up the room, and was never at a loss for conversation. She was a true leader and problem solver. There was always time for you no matter what was in front of her. She was such a passionate person when she believed in something, always rooting for the underdog. Her heart was made of gold, and it was evident to those whom she met. She could be as stubborn as a mule, yet had the compassion and patience of a saint. The many concerts she attended were the music of her soul.
Becky's wardrobe never lacked the latest fashions, yet her favorite pair of shoes were not purchased at the store, but were issued. They were tan, ankle high with laces. It was many miles those boots walked through all types of terrain. She and her ankle boots medically retired in July of 2016. The last deployment in 2008 changed her life forever. Her goal was to help the children of Afghanistan that she cared for to have the chance at life. She taught them games and healed broken bones. Becky was a true hero and an excellent medic.
Becky met the love of her life and soulmate, Michael while stationed at her first duty assignment at Beale AFB, CA in July of 2001. They married September 17, 2004, the happiest day of her life. She was a proud dog mom of two beautiful boxers, Mia and Bentley. She loved the red, white, and blue and all its glory.
Becky loved life and savored the beauty of nature, and tried to change the world in her own loving way.
Becky will be greatly missed and leaves behind her beloved husband Michael. Loving parents, Robert and Annette Wilson. Dear brother Jeffrey (Kristin) Wilson. Nieces and nephews, Heather, Madison, Justin, Mackenzie, and Preston. Mother-in-law, Eunice and the late Emmett Bennett; sister-in-law, Danielle Pizzo. She also leaves behind many friends, relatives, and fellow service members.
A Memorial Visitation for Becky will be held Sunday, August 8th from 5-9 pm, with a 7 pm Memorial Service, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Warren, MI 48093.
