Robert Frank Stevens, age 64 of Warren, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan. He was born September 1, 1952 in Hamtramck, son of the late Samuel and the late Laura (nee: Chellew) Stevens. When Robert managed to find some personal time, his pleasures kept him close to home as that is where he thrived. In a nutshell, Robert was known to be a lover of nature and respected everything from the plants and flowers of the ground, to the myriad of creatures that visited his yard. He was especially fond of the birds,...and he made sure that they were always well-fed. Robert was also quite the gardener and poured the best parts of his tender-loving-care into the many varieties of flowers, plants and vegetables that grew in his garden. Whether for beauty or for sustenance, that green thumb of his made quite an impact for both his neighborhood friends as well as the dinner table with vegetables fresh from the garden. Robert was also one who appreciated most anything that had to do with the genre of "horror." When it came time for losing himself in front of the television, a good horror movie was his favorite source of entertainment. And perhaps something that made Robert unique among most, he was forever on a quest for writing books. An unofficial author-by-desire, writing was an interest of Robert's that kept him intrigued and exercised his mind. Though many subjects crossed his thoughts, there was always one prevalent genre,...that's right, horror. So whether he was out in the garden or immersed on his computer, Robert's hands were always busy as they were the tools that aided in his creative expression, respectively. The other aspect of life that Robert helped create were the host of wonderful friends and neighbors that surrounded him on his journey. He had a great sense of humor, was always helping others when needed, and did his best to make the human experiment a loving and warm experience for everyone who knew him. A life gone far too soon from our presence, he leaves a unique and genuine legacy for all to embrace with each reflection shared. He will truly be missed.Robert was the beloved husband of Joann, and dearest brother of Joan (Don) Buser and Jim Stevens.
