Roger Allen Bott
December 30, 1948 – January 28, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Roger Allen Bott, who left us peacefully on January 28, 2025, surrounded by family. Roger was born on December 30, 1946, in Detroit, Michigan, to Henry Lafayette Bott and Pearl W. (nee Jones) Bott.
Roger’s life was marked by his deep love for his family, his pets, and his passions. He met the love of his life, Irish Ann “Heidi” Noell, in 1986 at a bar, and it was clear from the moment they met that they were meant to be together. Heidi always knew he was the one, and they shared a beautiful life together filled with love, laughter, and unwavering companionship.
Roger had a wide range of interests, from his love of music—where he found joy in all genres—to his enthusiasm for collecting guitars and stereos. His passion for music was rivaled only by his appreciation for cars, particularly classic models. An avid reader, Roger would devour anything he could get his hands on, constantly learning and staying curious about the world around him. His interest in politics and current affairs reflected his thoughtful and inquisitive nature, always staying informed and engaged with the world.
Above all, Roger was a man of God, grounding his life in faith, kindness, and compassion. He was known for his quiet strength and steady presence, always there for those who needed him.
Roger leaves behind a loving family, including his beloved wife Heidi, his children Allen Bott, Jessica (John) Soye, Jeremy Bott, Robert (Shannon) Walters, Kirk Walters, Chad (Nicole) Walters, and Tony (Carly) Walters, seventeen grandchildren, and many cherished friends. He is also survived by his two furry companions, his dog, Buddy, and cat, Kit Kat, who brought him much joy throughout his life.
Roger’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
