Roger Charles Curry

Roger was a funny, loving man whose presence brought joy and laughter to those around him. A devoted husband, proud grandfather, and loyal friend, Roger lived his life with a big heart and an even bigger sense of humor. A lifelong fan of the Detroit Tigers, Roger rarely missed a game and could often be found cheering them on with the same passion he brought to every part of his life. He worked for Chrysler for 37 years. He shared 46 wonderful years with his beloved wife Carol, 21 of them in marriage. He lovingly called her his “doll,” a nickname that spoke to the deep affection and bond they shared.

Roger found pure joy in his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought light and meaning to his days. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, always up for a friendly competition and a good laugh with friends. An avid collector, Roger took pride in his model car collection, each piece a reflection of his appreciation for craftsmanship and detail.

One of his favorite places to be was his condo in Munising, where he found peace, beauty, and treasured memories with family and friends in the UP. Roger’s warmth, wit, and generous spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He is now in Heaven with his granddaughter, Kandis. His partner in crime.

Roger was the husband of Carol. Loving father of Nick (Cindy) and Sue (Keith) Rush. Adored grandfather of Shannon (Brian) McClure, Amanda Varner, Nicholas Curry, Kayla (Aaron) Bliss, Kara (Jared) Craft, Zachary (Hailie) Curry, Joshua Phipps, Aaron Minda and 12 loving great-grandchildren. Dear brother of the late Pat (Rosa), Art (Lucy), Chuck, Vickie (Larry) Blankenship, Mary (Mike) Kessler, and Patsy Bilici. He was predeceased by his daughter Robin (Don) Hunter, his son Tony Phipps, and granddaughter Kandis Rush.

Visitation for Roger will be held on Friday, May 16th from 3-7pm with a Rosary Service and Military Honors at 6pm at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road, Warren, MI.
