

Rudolph Paul Durkovich Rudy, age 79 a longtime resident of Warren, died Tuesday, September 07, 2010 at Father Murray Nursing Center in Center Line Michigan. Rudy was born November 15, 1930 in Detroit, Michigan the son of the late Paul Durkovich and the late Christine (nee: Stransky) Durkovich. Rudy graduated from Southeastern High School in Detroit and later graduated from Detroit Institute of Technology. He served in the Army during Korean War, serving most of his time in Livorno Italy. Rudy traveled much of Europe while in the military. Upon his return Rudy went to work at Chryslers Jefferson plant where he worked for the following 30 years until retirement. When Rudy was young he was quite an athlete and baseball player he played in high school and also played for the Junior League at Briggs Stadium. When Rudy was not working he continued to enjoy watching sports especially the Detroit Tigers and the Red Wings. Rudy was the beloved son of the late Paul and Christine Durkovich, and dear brother of Shirley Durkovich and the late Ruth (Martin) Scaffetti. Visitation for Rudy will be Friday 9:30 am until the time of the Funeral Service 11 am, at the D.S. Temrowski & Sons Funeral Home, 30009 Hoover Road at Common (12 Mile). Officiating the Funeral will be Rev. Dale Bishop. Interment will follow at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan. Please share memories at Rudys guest book.
